  • Filza:
  • Clutch:

English Version

Compiled from a linux.do community share (original post: https://linux.do/t/topic/3040105 ), this roundup covers decrypted IPA sources for iOS, DIY decryption tools, a practical look at LiveContainer, sideloading options for iOS 26, and Android APK / MOD resource sites. Resource sites come and go — some links may already be dead; verify before you dive in.

Disclaimer first: some of these were personally tested by the original author, others were collected from the web. Nothing here is guaranteed to be live or safe. Never install packages from unknown sources alongside your important accounts.

1. Decrypted IPA resource sites for iOS

A few commonly used online sources — keep them as backups for each other:

Note: a decrypted IPA is not the same as a cracked IPA. Decryption only strips App Store encryption — it doesn’t unlock in-app purchases, and it certainly doesn’t let you tamper with server-side data.

IPA repos on GitHub:

Don’t judge a GitHub repo by stars alone — check recent commits and releases so you don’t waste an afternoon on an outdated build.

2. Want to decrypt IPAs yourself? Know these tools

  • frida-ios-dump: the classic Frida-based decryption tool
  • frida-ipa-extract: a related IPA extraction approach — check the specific project and compatibility
  • flexdecrypt: app decryption for jailbroken devices
  • bfdecryptor: iOS app decryption tool
  • AppsDump: app dumping tool
  • Filza: file manager for jailbroken environments
  • Clutch: ancient history at this point, mostly worth knowing about

Most DIY decryption approaches require specific iOS versions and jailbreak environments — it’s not “plug an iPhone into a Windows PC and dump anything”, especially on newer systems.

3. Is LiveContainer actually good?

Project: https://github.com/LiveContainer/LiveContainer ; Docs: https://livecontainer.github.io

The short version: normally sideloading an app means dealing with signing and install slots. LiveContainer installs one host app, then you import other IPAs to run inside it — the imported IPAs don’t each need to be installed as standalone apps.

The catches:

  • LiveContainer itself still needs to be signed and installed first
  • Not every imported IPA is guaranteed to run
  • Some apps hit permission, certificate, or data-container compatibility issues
  • JIT and JIT-less are two different things — it depends on your device and iOS version
  • Some games, online games, and apps with special entitlements may crash on launch

Don’t treat LiveContainer as a magic container that runs every IPA you throw at it.

Sideloading on iOS 26?

ESign, Feather, Scarlet and similar are also worth knowing, but watch out for certificate sources and revocations.

4. Android APK / MOD resource sites

International:

These are leads, not guarantees — check whether each site is still maintained and whether its files are genuine.

Just want the stock APK, no mods?

Both are good for stock and historical versions — handy when a new app update is worse and you want to roll back. A filename alone doesn’t prove safety: check signatures, permissions, and sources.

5. Want to tinker with APKs yourself?

  • MT Manager: inspect APK structure, edit resources, assist decompilation — very capable
  • Lucky Patcher: the old-school patching tool, but no magic wand — many apps now rely on server-side authorization, so patching the local APK alone may do nothing

To go deeper, follow the smali / jadx / apktool / Frida rabbit hole.

6. One more word on shared Apple IDs

There are sites sharing purchased-app accounts (e.g. https://www.52appleid.com/ipa ). Skipping the signing hassle looks tempting, but it’s not recommended: the accounts’ origins are murky and they can die anytime. Never sign a stranger’s Apple ID into your iCloud, and never hand out your own primary account password.

7. Final pitfalls

  • Downloadable ≠ installable
  • Installable ≠ runnable
  • Runnable ≠ safe

Nobody knows what was changed inside a “cracked IPA” or “MOD APK”. VirusTotal helps, but a clean scan isn’t proof of safety. Signing an IPA yourself doesn’t magically make a modified package safe. For banking and other critical accounts, stick to official builds.

Respect developers’ licenses for paid software. Judge every third-party link’s risk yourself — don’t experiment on your daily driver or important accounts.
