VectorCraft 是 storytold 团队用纯 Rust 从零手写的矢量插画工具，对标 Adobe Illustrator，是”重写一切”全家桶里的矢量成员（约 10,369 star，2026-09-30 创建）。跟同系列其他作品一样：无订阅、无账号、MIT/Apache-2.0 双许可、本地运行、全部功能都能被 AI agent 驱动。

核心能力：

• Illustrator 同款手感：界面、工具、菜单、面板、快捷键都向 AI 看齐——钢笔、直接选择、路径查找器、智能参考线、外观、色板、图层，用过 AI 的上手零成本
• 快：多线程 SIMD 渲染跑在 UI 线程之外，2 万个图形在 Retina 分辨率下约 27ms 渲染完，界面保持 120fps
• 稳：精确的曲线布尔运算（不会弹”无法执行操作”）、结构共享实现的无限撤销、属性测试保证文件往返无损
• 开放格式：文档化的原生格式（.vectorcraft，JSON）、一等公民 SVG、PDF 及兼容 PDF 的 .ai 导入导出，PNG/JPEG/WebP 导出 + Export for Screens；还能直接打开 Affinity Designer 文件（.afdesign/.afpub），图层结构都保留
• Agent-ready：每个菜单项、工具手势、面板、对话框都能通过 JSON 控制通道 + MCP server 被驱动——README 里所有示例作品都是走这条命令 API 画出来的；还带 vectorcraft-cli：MCP server（stdio）+ 无头批量导出，脚本管线也能用
• 多语言：21 种界面语言，含简体中文和繁体中文
• 跨平台：macOS、Windows、Linux、FreeBSD、Web（WASM）

提醒一句：目前还是 alpha（官方自评日常矢量插画场景约 65% 可用于实际工作），.ai 文件的图层结构交换、3D/材质扩展还在路上。日常画海报、logo、插画这些场景已经可用。

VectorCraft is a from-scratch, pure-Rust vector illustration tool by the storytold team, aimed at Adobe Illustrator — the vector member of the “rewrite everything” suite (~10,369 stars, created 2026-09-30). Like the rest of the suite: no subscription, no account, MIT/Apache-2.0 dual license, runs locally, and every feature is AI-agent drivable.

Key capabilities:

• Illustrator-grade familiarity: layout, tools, menus, panels and shortcuts all follow AI conventions — Pen, Direct Selection, Pathfinder, Smart Guides, Appearance, Swatches, Layers — zero learning curve for AI users
• Fast: multithreaded SIMD rendering off the UI thread — 20,000 shapes render in about 27 ms at full retina resolution while the interface stays at 120 fps
• Robust: exact curve booleans (no “cannot perform operation”), unlimited undo via structural sharing, and property-tested file round trips
• Open formats: a documented native format (.vectorcraft, JSON), first-class SVG, PDF and PDF-compatible .ai import/export, PNG/JPEG/WebP export + Export for Screens; it even opens Affinity Designer files (.afdesign/.afpub) natively, layers intact
• Agent-ready: every menu item, tool gesture, panel and dialog can be driven over a JSON control channel + MCP server — every showcase piece in the README was drawn through that command API; plus vectorcraft-cli with an MCP server (stdio) and headless batch export for scripted pipelines
• Multilingual: 21 interface languages including Simplified and Traditional Chinese
• Cross-platform: macOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, Web (WASM)

One caveat: it’s still alpha (the team estimates ~65% ready for real work for a mainstream illustrator), with .ai layer-structure exchange and 3D/materials still on the roadmap. Everyday posters, logos and illustrations already work.
